Medical Payments Simplified
Since 1997, HealthEZ has offered the nation’s only streamlined medical payment system, reducing administrative costs and improving efficiency and satisfaction for employers, consumers, physicians, hospitals, and third party administrators (TPAs).
- Consumers receive a single, easy-to-read monthly statement listing medical, dental and pharmacy activity for the entire family.
- Consumers make no payment at the time of service, and can pay their bills automatically with an HSA, FSA or HRA account, or an existing credit or bank debit card.
- Doctors and hospitals receive one check which includes payment for both the insurance portion and the amount owed by the consumer.
Before and After HealthEZ
With the way the current medical billing system processes claims, it’s possible that a single claim will go through 21 steps from the time of service until the healthcare provider is paid. As illustrated in the chart below, many of those steps involve the member.
